Life is messy

This TouchDesigner installation takes a tongue in cheek look at relationships.

Two figures dance and bond into one. Everything proceeds according to plan. Then chaos takes over, life gets messy, and the forces of the universe do everything in their power to break the bond apart.

Apart from the illustrations, the project was made completely in TouchDesigner. I wanted to make use of camera movement as much as possible to tell the story.

Zorba the Greek Dance

The project required the control of a set of virtual lighting fixtures using TouchDesigner. Each fixture had parameters such as tilt, pan, colour, dimmer, strobe etc. The challenge was to coordinate these parameters to create an installation. The 3D Unreal scene was provided by the Immersive HQ.

My inspiration for the virtual installation was the dance from the movie 'Zorba the Greek'.
